Focus on markets

“The AWD Group’s strategic objective is to continue its growth. Our intention is to further strengthen the Company’s market position – both in regions AWD is already core in as well as in prospective growth regions.”

Nils Frowein, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management and CFO of AWD Holding AG

Growth in core markets

The business model with needs-orientated financial planning leads to increasing revenue in AWD’s core markets. The AWD Group systematically identified those markets with growth potential and subsequently focussed on their expansion and on the implementation of its core competency: best-select financial planning.

These factors offer a environment for AWD business model’s strengths and the value added for its customers: security and guidance in a confusing and increasingly complex financial market environment as well as financial freedom for mass affluent customers.

Develop growth markets

The AWD Group’s business model is successful in AWD’s core markets. Additionally remarkable: the AWD business model is transferable – to any market that offers the relevant features. This applies to Central and Eastern Europe in particular showing great potential.

AWD Group recognised the potential of Central and Eastern Europe and started to develop this region at an early stage. Based on the strengths of needs-orientated financial planning, the Group intends to establish this region as a core market in the long-run.

Identification of future potential

Former emerging countries are developing into growth regions. In the coming decades, the demographic development in these countries will result in a drastically increasing demand for private health and income protection and pension planning. The level of state pension in these countries is generally very low, therefore private provision is essential. Due to the growing economic power of these countries, a segment of mid-range earners who can afford the respective investments is evolving.
