Biography
Manfred Behrens was appointed on 1st September 2008 as Co-Chairman of the board of AWD Holding AG, and since 1st April 2009 he has been the sole Chairman of the Board.

Manfred Behrens switched from his job as a lawyer to the insurance industry, where he held managerial positions with Hamburg Mannheimer and Volksfürsorge.

Since 2004, Manfred Behrens has worked with the Swiss Life Group as the CEO of the company in Germany, with responsibility for the fields of corporate communication, accounting and auditing, project and organisation management, personnel and logistics, investment management and IT. At the same time, Manfred Behrens is a member of the Group Management of Swiss Life.

Biography

Nils Frowein was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board of AWD Holding AG on 7th January 2008, and then as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 1st September 2008.

The former chief financial officer of AWD Holding AG has many years of experience and consolidated knowledge of the capital markets. Until 30th June 2007, he was the chief financial officer of the financial service provider MLP, where he was involved in strategically setting the company's agenda.

Previously, the Economics graduate, who sat German and American auditing exams, was a partner in the auditing firm BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG. Finally, Frowein led the Financial Advisory Services section in the offices in Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart. In this capacity, he advised national and international banks and insurance companies as well as financial services institutes on transactions, issues regarding international accounting and strategic positioning.

Biography


Dr Martin Jünke was appointed as member of the Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on 1st September 2008. Previously, he had been the Director of the Treasury, Group Accounting and Taxes for the AWD Group since the start of 2000.

In this capacity, he provided significant support to the initial public offering from AWD Holding AG, the acquisition and internationalisation processes in the following years, and, amongst other projects, bringing accounting in line with international standards.

Dr Martin Jünke completed his professional education with his studies in Business Administration, and his subsequent promotion to Doctor of Political Sciences in Göttingen. All the while, he had been working for years in a medium-sized tax consultancy firm. Afterwards, he worked in the Accounting and Auditing department at VARTA Batterie AG, and as the Head of Finance and Accounting for EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH.
